In our computing lessons, the children have been using their impressive skills to program their sprites to move using their voices. Throughout the rest of the term, they will be using their programming skills to create their own video games using the software Scratch.

This half-term, we have been using our class novel, Witch Wars, as a stimulus to write our own fantasy stories. After completing our amazing work, we were then able to read our short narratives to the rest of the class to bring our magical stories to life.
This term in geography, we have been learning how to read an eight point compass to help us locate the states of USA. This half-term in Year 4, we have been creating our own short educational videos about Ancient Egypt so that they can be used by BBC Bitesize. In order to make our videos more engaging, we used specialised recording devices and ‘Window Movie Maker’ to add dialogue to our clips.
This term, we were fortunate enough to look closely at real Egyptian artefacts which were discovered more than 4,000 years ago! The children enjoyed using the archaeological tools to try to work out what the artefacts were and what they were used for.
